You can’t put anything in mailboxes without a stamp. I would put them in doors, and hand them out.

watch out that you don’t go head to head with the HOA – on private property such as developments it is deemed as solicitation and you could get in trouble .

Go to your local print shop and have a skin or a magnetic sign made and put it on your vehicle

Very good question! When it comes to flyer, post card, and business card hand outs. I have seen 90% of people hand their information out to the wrong people. When it comes to your promoting you want to make sure you are targeting the correct audience, and being productive.

Since your business is in the lawn care niche you will want to make sure your flyers are distributed to residents, shops, and people that are in that niche for example:

Your flyer will most likely be noticed in a hardware store rather than in the hands of a stranger passing by.

These are some good examples of where you should put your flyers:

    Hardware stores
    Florist shops
    House mailboxes (WITH Lawns)
Street corners of homes (avoid apartment buildings)

You may find that your handing out less resources, but your getting your message out to the people that NEED your services.
